Suffolk cops arrest man in Bklyn stabbing
Suffolk police arrested a Brooklyn man and turned him over to New York City police after his girlfriend was found stabbed to death in his apartment Tuesday.
City cops said Brian Sohtz, 36, of 65th Street, was caught by Suffolk Fifth Precinct officers and later charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Daniella Mannino, 34, of 19th Avenue, Brooklyn.
Police found Mannino's body Tuesday at 1:32 p.m. in the apartment where Sohtz lived, officials said.
The New York Police Department could not immediately say how Sohtz was found or where in Suffolk he was arrested Tuesday. Suffolk police said they do not comment on investigations conducted by other agencies and referred all calls to the NYPD.
Mannino is the daughter of an employee in the office services department in the office of Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes, The New York Times reported. Police could not immediately confirm that information.
