Power tools, jewelry and gun scopes are among the items to be auctioned next week by the Suffolk County Police Department Property Section.

The auction, to proceed rain or shine, will start at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the property section building next to police headquarters at 30 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank.

Here's the deal: cash only, items sold "as is" and New York State sales tax will apply.

Other items to be auctioned include small household appliances, furniture, electronic equipment, unused clothing, televisions and bicycles -- but no motorcycles or motor vehicles. The items are lost or stolen properly recovered by police.
