Suffolk County police vehicle auction to be held Saturday
Pickups, vans, sport utility vehicles and motorcycles will be up for bid at a Suffolk County police vehicle auction Saturday in Westhampton.
The department's impound section is staging the auction at 9 a.m. at its yard at 110 Old Country Rd., police said Monday.
Some 100 vehicles, including cars and all-terrain vehicles, will be sold "as is," and all sales are final.
A preview is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Thursday and Friday. Prospective buyers must register to bid in the auction; registration will be held during preview hours and just before the start of the auction on Saturday.
Proper identification is required; to register as a business, individuals must produce a state tax certificate, police said.
