Suffolk IDA's Manetta volunteers for campaigns
Anthony Manetta, the Suffolk Industrial Development Agency's $155,000-a-year executive director, is back to working political campaigns.
"It's strictly volunteer, I'm just helping run logistics," he said.
Richard Schaffer, Suffolk Democratic chairman, acknowledged that Manetta is working on the GOP primary campaigns for Conservative Sheriff Vincent DeMarco and Democratic District Attorney Thomas Spota, helping with photos and joint mailings for the two cross-endorsed candidates.
Manetta started working at the IDA last year and received a $20,500 raise in June. A former vice chair of the Suffolk Independence Party, he made his first impact in local politics helping DeMarco win his post in 2005.-- Rick Brand
