Suffolk cops to auction clothes, electronics, more on March 28
Want to buy some jewelry, a watch, maybe boots, sneakers or other assorted clothing? How about a cellphone, a MacBook, rims for your car or truck — or maybe a bike or some poker chips?
Those items and dozens more will be available at a Suffolk County police property auction scheduled for next week at the department’s Yaphank headquarters, officials said Tuesday.
A preview of available items will take place March 27 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Property Section building, police said.
The auction is slated for March 28 at 9:30 a.m. at the same site on Yaphank Avenue, adjacent to police headquarters.
Motor vehicles and motorcycles will not be available.
A listing of available items is at suffolkpd.org. For information about the auction, call 631-852-6471.
All items will be sold in “as is” condition and are subject to state sales tax; all payments must be made in cash.
