Suffolk police: Fleeing motorist crashes
A Suffolk County police pursuit of a motorist that began in Brentwood at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday ended in a crash in the vicinity of the Long Island Expressway at Exit 51, police said.
The motorist, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested and transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of injuries, police said.
Information concerning the charges and the extent of the motorist's injuries were not immediately available.
