Suffolk police are investigating 11 armed robberies at gas stations and donut shops across the county over the past three weeks.

Police said they are searching for two male suspects in the string of thefts, which began in Deer Park on Dec. 22.

Since then, the suspects, armed with a handgun, have held up businesses in West Hills, St. James, Smithtown, Commack, Huntington Station, Holbrook, Bohemia, Farmingville and Deer Park again. The latest robbery occurred in Sayville shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday.

The most recent incidents have involved a lone robber, medium to tall in height, wearing all black and dressed in a jacket, hoodie and ski mask, police said.

In earlier robberies, he was joined by a shorter man wearing a sweatsuit. The suspects made off with cash in each case.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to arrests. Police ask that anyone with information about the robberies call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
