A Suffolk County police officer suffered minor injuries Thursday in a two-car crash on Route 109 in West Babylon, police said.

The officer was driving north on Route 109 at about 8:30 p.m. when another car pulled out of a gas station, police said. The driver of the other vehicle was trying to make a left, to go south on Route 109, when the two cars collided.

The driver of the other car was not injured, police said. The officer was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
