Boats, personal watercraft, hand and power tools, automotive items, clothing and jewelry are among the items for sale Wednesday at a Suffolk County police auction in Yaphank.

The department's Property Section will stage the auction, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at its building at Police Headquarters, 30 Yaphank Ave.

Also being offered are gun scopes and cases, snowblowers, mowers, coins and electronics, police said. Motor vehicles and motorcycles are not being offered at the auction.

The auction is scheduled rain or shine, police said. Police said all items are sold in as is condition and payments must be made in cash. Purchases are subject to state sales tax.
