Suffolk police seek ID of woman struck by car
Suffolk County police are requesting the public's help identifying a woman hit by a car and seriously injured Friday night in West Babylon.
The unidentified woman was struck about 10:20 p.m. on Route 109 near Straight Path, police said.
She was admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in serious condition.
Don Gorham, 19, of Lindenhurst, was driving a 2000 BMW sedan eastbound when he hit the woman as she tried to cross the street, police said. Gorham was not injured; the BMW was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing, police said.
Police ask that anyone with information about the crash call the First Squad at 631-854-8138.
