Want to buy a Yamaha all-terrain vehicle or a Kawasaki dirt bike? How about a Lincoln Navigator or Jeep Grand Cherokee, or even a GMC box truck?

These vehicles and many others will soon go to the highest bidder. All were acquired after being impounded during a variety of seizures by the Suffolk County Police Department.

The police Impound Section will auction off about 100 sedans, pickup trucks, vans, sport utility vehicles, motorcycles and ATVs at a public auction at the police impound yard on Old Country Road in Westhampton.

The auction begins Saturday at 9 a.m. All vehicles are sold in “as-is” condition.

A preview of the vehicles is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., police said.

Prospective buyers must register to be able to bid. Registration will take place during the preview sessions and before the start of the auction, police said.

Proper identification is required to register. To be able to register as a business, registrants must produce a tax certificate.

The list of vehicles on the auction block can be viewed at the police website, suffolkpd.org.
