Unregistered handguns, rifles and shotguns can be exchanged for cash in a gun buyback program Saturday in Central Islip, Suffolk County police said.

Handguns are worth $100 apiece and rifles and shotguns $50 each at the event at Faith Alive Church, 17 W. Suffolk Ave., police said.

The program runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the cash supplied to buy back the arms runs out, a department spokeswoman said.

All guns must be unloaded and presented for exchange in a bag or box.
