Flat screen televisions, power tools and jewelry are among the items available Wednesday when Suffolk County police hold a property auction.

The department said in a Monday news release its Property Section plans to stage the auction beginning at 8:30 a.m., next to police headquarters at 30 Yaphank Ave. in Yaphank.

Also up for auction are hand tools, automotive and household items, gun scopes and cases, clothing, bicycles and iPods and electronics.

All purchases are subject to New York State sales tax, and payments must be made in cash, the release said.

Selected items will be available for preview from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
