Hand and power tools, automotive items, jewelry and electronics are among the items available at a Suffolk County police auction on Wednesday at the department’s headquarters in Yaphank.

Police said Monday that its Property Section will stage the event starting at 9:30 a.m. at 30 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank.

Also available are automotive and household items, gun scopes and cases, clothing, bicycles and video game systems, according to a news release.

Prospective buyers will be able to view jewelry and other select items for sale from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The event Wednesday will be held rain or shine, and all items will be sold “as is.” All purchases are subject to state sales tax; payments must be made in cash.

In the case of severe weather, information on a scheduling change will be posted at suffolkpd.org, or be available by calling 631-852-6862.
