Suffolk police tribute set for Friday
A Friday memorial service will pay tribute to the department's 22 officers who died in the line of duty, Suffolk County police said Thursday.
Friday's service at police headquarters in Yaphank, 30 Yaphank Ave., unites "law enforcement, friends and families of the fallen officers" and honors their sacrifices, the department said in a news release.
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
