A Suffolk County police vehicle hit an SUV at a stoplight in Huntington Station on Sunday afternoon, leaving a police officer and three passengers in the Honda CRV with minor injuries, department officials said.

Just before 5 p.m., the Honda was stopped on Walt Whitman Road by Branzino's Bar and Restaurant when the police vehicle hit it, Suffolk police officials said.

Emergency responders transported the three injured Honda passengers and the officer to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

No additional details about the crash were immediately available.
