Suffolk County police and Westhampton Beach police will unveil a new intelligence-sharing tool Monday.

The Suffolk County Law Enforcement Access Portal, or LEAP, provides county law enforcement with streamlined access to Westhampton Beach’s criminal justice information.

Available information includes arrest records, crime patterns, training videos, a license plate reader database and more.

LEAP was designed by county police informational technology staff. The Westhampton Beach Police Department became the first to begin using the portal two months ago. The goal is to “facilitate the sharing of information between all law enforcement agencies within Suffolk County in an effort to benefit police investigations,” according to a news release.

Suffolk Police Commissioner Timothy Sini, Westhampton Beach Police Chief Trevor Gonce and Suffolk County Legis. Bridget Fleming (D-Southampton) will appear at the 11 a.m. Monday news conference at Westhampton Beach police headquarters, 165 Mill Rd.
