Two injured in crash on Sunrise Highway in Copiague, Suffolk police say

A driver hurt in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Copiague was airlifted for treatment and rescuers transported a second motorist to a hospital, Suffolk police said.
The 5:48 p.m. crash closed all westbound lanes of Sunrise Highway at Bethpage Road until about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
One driver was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said. A second driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Hospital in West Islip with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The third driver refused medical attention, said Kyle Miller, Copiague First Assistant Fire Chief.
