Cops: No serious injuries in crash that closed Sunrise service road

There were no serious injuries in an accident Wednesday morning that temporarily closed the eastbound Sunrise Highway service road in North Patchogue, police said.
The lanes were closed at 4:43 a.m. at Waverly Avenue and reopened at 7:15 a.m., Suffolk County police said.
An image from the scene showed a badly damaged sedan appearing to have come to a stop against a tree.
