Repaving prompts lane closures in Hampton Bays, DOT says

Motorists should expect lane closures on Sunrise Highway in the area of the bridge over the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays beginning Thursday, officials said.

Lane closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Newtown and North roads, the state Department of Transportation said.

The repaving work will take about a week, the agency said.
