Supermodel Bridget Hall, who has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit editions and other magazines, was arrested last week in East Hampton Village and charged with driving without a license.

Hall, 33, was stopped on Park Place about 9:30 a.m. March 21 when a village police officer noticed the windows on her Lexus were too dark.

The officer ran her license and registration and found the license was suspended because of a 2010 driving while intoxicated case. The Lexus was not insured and the registration had expired.

Police Chief Gerard A. Larsen said the model explained she was on her way to perform community service and drove because taxis in East Hampton are too expensive.

At police headquarters, she was charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; operating an unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle; and having windows that were too darkly tinted.

Hall was arraigned Thursday in East Hampton Town Justice Court, pleading not guilty. She was released without bail and told to be in court May 12.

The Suffolk district attorney's office said there has been no formal resolution of last year's DWI charge. He said he was unaware of any other conviction to prompt Hall's community service.

Efforts to reach Hall or a spokesman were unsuccessful.
