Suspect charged in Hampton Bays thefts
A 17-year-old Hampton Bays man arrested last week in a September burglary of prescription medications is also suspected in the theft of a stereo and $400 worth of liquor from the same home earlier in the year, police said.
Stefan de Pierro was arrested Wednesday after an investigation into the burglary Sept. 13 at the home on Argonne Road in Hampton Bays. However, police said that investigators then tied two previous burglaries, committed over the summer at the same home, to de Pierro.
De Pierro was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary. Arraignment details were not available Monday.
