Suspect sought in Hooters assault
The Fourth Precinct crime section is looking for a man who assaulted another man in the Islandia Hooters restaurant in December, Suffolk County police said Friday.
Around midnight on Dec. 12, police said, the suspect was at the Hooters at 3701 Expressway Dr. North watching a mixed martial arts event on television. He left his table, went to another table and began punching a man there in the head, police said.
The man then left the restaurant.
In a crime alert released Friday, police did not say why the man punched the other man or elaborate on the victim's injuries.
The suspect is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds, with a shaved head, police said. He also was wearing a white T-shirt with the word "affliction" printed on it.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
