Police are searching for a man, believed to be in his mid-20s, who robbed a TD Bank branch Wednesday afternoon on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station.

The robbery occurred at 3:20 p.m., Suffolk County police said. No one was injured.

Police said the man, about 5-foot-6 with a medium build, entered the bank, displayed "a threatening note demanding cash" to a teller, was handed money -- and fled on foot.

He wore a black, hooded sweatshirt, a white baseball cap, dark sunglasses and black gloves, police said. Police said he was last seen headed southbound on Dix Hills Road.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
