Suspect sought in knifepoint convenience store robbery in West Babylon
The robber wore a green camouflage jacket, large gold-rimmed sunglasses and a purple knit cap, police said.
He was wielding a knife described as about a foot long, with a curved blade and jagged edge.
Now, Suffolk County police are searching for the armed robber who held up a convenience store Tuesday night in West Babylon, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured in the robbery at The Barn on Belmont Avenue at 9:53 p.m. Police said the man fled the scene on foot after the robbery and was last seen headed east on Kenyon Avenue.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robber, who is described as having a thin build, to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
