Police are searching for a man nicknamed Pajaro who stabbed another man in the stomach in May, seriously injuring the victim.

The man was stabbed May 7 at about 9 p.m. near the intersection of Straight Path and Merritt Avenue in Wyandanch. Police said the assailant stabbed his victim and fled.

The suspect is 25 to 35 years old and 5-foot-6 with a long ponytail, police said. They said he was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a blue jacket.

Suffolk County police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
