Riverhead detectives and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who used a California resident's credit information to make purchases from Riverhead stores in June, according to a crime alert released Wednesday.

On June 10, the credit card company notified the California resident about suspicious transactions, including one from a Stop & Shop supermarket at 1615 Old Country Road.

Video surveillance at the supermarket captured images of the suspect making the unauthorized purchases at the store, police said in a news release.

Police did not reveal the cost of the purchases in the release.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-220-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
