Suspects sought in Farmingville bank robbery
Suffolk County police said they are still searching for two men who are suspects in an armed bank robbery in Farmingville on Friday.
The men entered the Astoria Federal Savings bank at 696 Horseblock Rd. at about 7 p.m. holding what appeared to be black handguns, police said.
One man stayed on the floor of the bank while the other on demanded money from the teller, police said. The teller complied with the suspect's demand and the men fled on foot southbound on Wendy Drive, police said.
The first man was about 5-foot-8, bearded and with a medium build, wearing a white sweatshirt, camouflage pants and a red-and-white baseball hat, according to police.
The second man was about 5-foot-2 with a medium build, wearing a winter vest, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap, police said.
Both were described as being about 20 to 30 years old. No one was injured, police said.
