Suspects sought in N. Bay Shore home invasion
Police are seeking two men who accosted three people outside a home in North Bay Shore early Thursday morning, forcing them into the house at gunpoint and stealing cash and jewelry before fleeing.
The home-invasion robbery took place at 12:30 a.m., Suffolk County police said. Police did not disclose the location.
According to police, a female resident was outside the home with another female and a male when the two gunmen approached -- and forced all three into the home.
Once inside, police said, the gunmen forced the three victims to the ground, demanding cash. Police said investigators believe the home was targeted, but did not explain why.
The descriptions of the gunmen were vague.
Police are asking anyone with information about the home invasion to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS or Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
