SUV crashes into house, driver charged with DWI

A Central Islip man was charged with driving while intoxicated after his sport utility vehicle crashed into an unoccupied house early Saturday, Suffolk County police said.
Police charged Juan Carlos Madrano, 30, after the 12:50 a.m. crash. The red SUV slammed into a home near Lowell Avenue and Julie Crescent, police said.
Madrano was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
