Police: Teen shot outside home in North Babylon

Suffolk County police are trying to figure out who shot a teen outside a North Babylon house late Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman said First Precinct officers responding to a 911 call at 11:43 p.m. about possible shots fired didn't find a victim on the 200 block of Prairie Drive but learned a 17-year-old male was wounded by gunshots.
Police tracked the victim, of West Babylon, to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, the spokeswoman said.
