Raymond Tomasicchio, Thomas Hynes and Abhishek Sathiakumar have been arrested and charged in the knifepoint rovbbery of a pizza deliveryman in Stony Brook.
Three teenagers who police said robbed a Domino's Pizza deliveryman at knifepoint in Stony Brook on Sunday evening have been arrested. Two of the teens were arrested Monday night, and the third was arrested Tuesday evening.
Suffolk County police identified the trio as Raymond Tomasicchio, 19, of 28 Hopewell Dr., Stony Brook; Abhishek Sathiakumar, 17, of 18 Hopewell Dr., Stony Brook; and Thomas Hynes, 18, of 6 Norfolk Ct., Coram. All three have been charged with first-degree robbery, police said.
Tomasicchio and Sathiakumar were both arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip. Both were ordered held on $20,000 bond or $10,000 cash bail, according to court records. Neither posted bail, and both were remanded.
Police said Hynes was arrested Tuesday night and faces arraignment on Wednesday.
Police said the robbery occurred at 9:05 p.m. Sunday as the deliveryman attempted to deliver three pizzas to a home on Buxmont Lane.
The deliveryman knocked on the door, police said, only to have one of the suspects grab him from behind -- and force him to the ground. The other two suspects, one armed with a knife, demanded money from the victim, police said.
The deliveryman handed over cash -- and, the pizzas -- and the trio ran off, police said. The deliveryman was not injured.
It was not immediately clear what led to the arrests.
