It was an armed robbery that netted a cellphone and less than $10, police said.

Now, Suffolk County police are searching for three male suspects who robbed three teenage boys on Sunrise Highway in North Lindenhurst late Tuesday evening before fleeing the scene on foot.

The robbery took place on Sunrise, not far from North Delaware Avenue, at about 11:15 p.m.

It was then, police said, that the three teens were approached by a trio of suspects. One flashed a handgun, police said, and another flashed a knife. The three suspects then demanded the teens hand over their possessions, which they did -- giving them an iPhone and cash. The trio then fled on foot. No one was injured.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
