1978: Housing Help Inc. commissions a study of available parcels in the Town of Huntington for multifamily housing. Report suggests the corner of Elwood and Pulaski roads in East Northport. Town rejects the idea of rezoning for multifamily housing and suggests building in Huntington Station.
1980s: Housing Help files discrimination suit against the town over zoning
1989: Suit is settled.
Early 1990s: Housing Help goes to court over the price; land owner says site has appreciated since Housing Help first approached him.
1994: Judge decides in Housing Help's favor, purchases property for $380,000.
1997: Housing Help files two lawsuits, against the town and the state
2002 and 2004: Lawsuits are settled
2004-2007: Housing Help proposal undergoes environmental review, which is approved in October 2007
2007-2009: Site plan undergoes review
2010: Site plan is approved
