What went wrong

The attorney general's complaint against Suffolk Productions of Copiague outlined such deceptive practices as:

PLAYING COPS. Fundraisers introducing themselves as detectives; printing unauthorized police shields with Suffolk County Detectives Association name on them

NONEXISTENT CLIENTS. Soliciting for charities that don't exist

NO FULL DISCLOSURE. Failing to disclose they are paid solicitors calling on behalf of a charity

ADVERTISING. Raising money for The Traditional Chinese Medicine World Foundation by calling it "The Breast Cancer Prevention Project" instead
