Police: Man driving in Mattituck on revoked license had heroin
A 38-year-old man stopped for driving with tinted windows was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license and with heroin possession Monday night in Mattituck, Southold Town police said.
Thomas Concolino, of Mattituck, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving with a revoked license.
He faces arraignment Tuesday in Southold Justice Court.
Police said Concolino was stopped on Deep Hole Drive at 10:32 p.m. The officer found that Concolino had his license revoked for a prior driving-while-intoxicated charge, as well as for "multiple" failures to pay fines. A consented search of the vehicle uncovered hypodermic needles and a metal spoon containing heroin residue, according to police.
Additional details were not immediately available.
