A tractor trailer overturned in Sayville on Sunrise Highway Thursday evening, causing massive eastbound delays, Suffolk police said.

Construction garbage shot out over all the lanes when the vehicle crashed just after 5:35 p.m. near Exit 50, which is Lincoln Avenue, police said. The eastbound lanes were shut down, police said.

No one was injured, police said, and emergency services officers and firefighters pushed the debris onto the left shoulder.

All lanes were open by 7:30 p.m., police said.

The driver will be ticketed, police said, but details were not finalized yet.

The crash cause long delays as commuters head home, police said.
