Truck accident closes part of Commack Road

A tractor-trailer overturned Tuesday morning in Commack, closing down Commack Road between Crooked Hill Road and Henry Street, police said.

Suffolk County police said there were no reported injuries in the one-vehicle crash.

The truck appeared to be carrying mostly construction debris. The truck was taking the trash to an intermodal facility to be shipped out, an official at the scene said.

The incident occurred at 6:34 a.m. It was not immediately clear how long it would take for the road to be reopened.
