Truck fire shuts westbound lanes on Sunrise
A truck fire forced lane closures Friday morning on westbound Sunrise Highway near the North Babylon-West Babylon border, police said.
The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office said the fire was reported at 7:31 a.m., but said there were no apparent injuries.
Suffolk fire officials said volunteers from the North Babylon Fire Department responded to the scene.
Officials said there were temporary lane closures between Route 231 and Hubbards Path.
It was not immediately clear what caused the incident.
