Suffolk County police are investigating the cause of early morning fires Sunday that destroyed two cars parked at a residence in Babylon.

According to a police report, authorities received a call at 3:45 a.m. reporting that a car parked in the driveway of a home located at the West Main Street home and another on the street were fully engulfed in flames.

There were no injuries.

Both cars were destroyed and the fires were extinguished by the Babylon Fire Department, police said. The vehicles -- a Ford Windstar and a Volkswagen Passat -- were owned by the same person, the homeowner.

The fires were being investigated and the causes of the blazes were unknown.

There were no further details available.
