Two firefighters hurt in Central Islip blaze

Two firefighters were hurt battling a fire Tuesday night at the Windermere condo apartment complex in Central Islip, authorities said.
Smoke was seen rising from one of the apartments on Feller Drive about 8:45 p.m., Suffolk police said. People were evacuated and the blaze put out by 10:15 p.m., police said.
A Central Islip fire department dispatcher said two firefighters were hurt but did not give details.
Police said the two firefighters went to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries. One resident was taken to Southside Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, police said.
No other details were available.
