Two firefighters were taken to a hospital as a precaution after a fire Monday night that heavily damaged a home in Westhampton Beach, officials said.

The fire on Pine Grove Court was reported in a 911 call at 7:11 p.m., fire officials said. Volunteers from Westhampton Beach, Eastport, Quogue and East Quogue responded and found the rear of the home engulfed, officials said. The fire was not considered suspicious, officials said.

Two firefighters were taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, Suffolk fire officials said. One firefighter was treated for elevated blood pressure, the other for heat exhaustion, and both were then released, officials said.

Fire and police officials could not immediately say what department the firefighters were from. Neither was identified.
