Two Riverhead men were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery after police said they stole a wallet from a 24-year-old man on a street Saturday night in Riverhead.

Riverhead Town police said Jaime R. Xiquin-Valdez, 26, and Antonio Chin, 35, were arrested after being identified by the 24-year-old victim.

Arraignment details were not immediately available.

Police said the victim contacted police at 10:11 p.m. Saturday, telling them he'd been robbed by the two men on Railroad Avenue -- the suspects stealing his wallet. A search located the suspects on nearby Osborne Avenue. It was not clear how much was taken or if the property was recovered.
