A Lindenhurst bank was robbed Friday afternoon by two men, one armed with a handgun, Suffolk police said.

A man entered the Ridgewood Savings Bank, 317 South Wellwood Ave., at 3:20 p.m., and acted as a lookout, police said. Several minutes later a second man, armed with a handgun, entered and demanded money from a teller, police said.

With money from the teller, the two men left the bank, fled west toward South First Street and are still at large, police said.

Detectives asked that anyone with information call the Major Case Investigations Unit at 631-852-6182 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
