Two men shot in Central Islip, cops seek shooter
Two Central Islip men were shot on Peach Street between Islip Avenue and Ferndale Boulevard Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk police said, and detectives are looking for the driver of a gold or tan SUV spotted driving away from the scene.
Third Precinct officers reponding to calls of shots fired shortly before 1 p.m. found Keith Vann, 24, shot in the leg and torso, and James Anderson, 24, shot in the lower leg.
The men were taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the men said they didn't know who shot them.
