Two people were rescued Sunday when their vessel capsized near Ponquogue Bridge in Southampton, police said.
Southampton Town Bay Constable Danielle McManus responded to a radio report of a capsized vessel near the bridge at about 1:55 p.m., police said in a news release.
She arrived at the scene to find an overturned 12-foot Fiberglas Gamefisher with two people in the water, the release said.
The two were removed from the water with the help of a U.S. Coast Guard vessel and taken to the agency's Shinnecock station where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
Southampton Town police on Monday did not immediately have the residences or the gender of the two victims.
