Two Suffolk beaches reopen

Tides Beach in Rocky Point, closed to bathing since Monday, is now reopened, as samples indicate "water quality to be within acceptable levels," the Suffolk County Department of Health Services said Wednesday in a release.

Copiague Harbor Beach, closed to bathing since June 13, remains closed because of higher-than-acceptable bacteria levels, the release says.
