A two-vehicle crash in East Farmingdale on Tuesday night left one man hospitalized with serious injuries, Suffolk police said.

Police said Brian Cannetti, 39, was driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck northbound on Wellwood Avenue north of the Southern State Parkway when he veered into oncoming traffic and struck a box truck, driven by Gerard Barsh, 45, at about 8:05 p.m.

Cannetti, of Babylon, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow with serious but non life-threatening injuries, police said. Barsh was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip to be evaluated, police said.

Officers from the Motor Carrier Safety Section were called to inspect both vehicles.
