An unauthorized truck hit an overpass on the eastbound Southern State Parkway, state officials said, littering the road with debris Wednesday afternoon.

The tractor-trailer hit the bridge shortly after 12:30 p.m., at Route 111, Exit 43, in Brentwood, officials said. It was unclear whether there were any injuries.

Two lanes were temporarily blocked after the accident, according to informny.com, a state Department of Transportation website.
