Suffolk County’s Arson Squad is investigating a Ronkonkoma fire that ravaged three vehicles and a Richmond Boulevard home early Thursday.

Police said a vehicle parked in front of the house caught fire at about 5:20 a.m., then the blaze extended to two vehicles parked in the driveway and to the house.

All three vehicles were destroyed and there was extensive damage to the house, police said.

Neighbors saw the fire and one of them knocked on the door of the home, a police spokeswoman said. Two occupants, a man and a woman, were then able to escape.

No injuries were reported, and police said later Thursday they did not immediately have a cause for the fire.

The Ronkonkoma and Lakeland fire departments responded, police said.

Police Thursday afternoon said two containers with an unknown accelerant found on the scene were being tested, News 12 Long Island reported.
